Youtube annoyance.

One of the more irritating features of the current youtube incarnation is when recommended search results don’t produce any results. Its like this, why correct my search term if the corrected search term has no results? I think as a part of the initial search, the recommended search must also be computed to see if any matches are found. What a waste of my .05sec. More annoying than a waste of time I guess. Let me show you what I mean:
Okay so no search results found for my “pappa lixom” search, thats okay. But wait, did I mean “papa lixom”? Clearly I must have made a mistake and the brainiacs at the youtube division of google must know that the corrected search term will reveal some results! Right? So let’s click on it and see what happens.
So wait a sec here. Why was I presented with a suggested search term which did not produce any results? What the hell was the point of guessing a more suitable search term if no results were available? Why even present me with a corrected version? It seems so trivial, given the astronomical number of queries per second, to just simply pre-compute the results. Give me a break.
